About the Founder
For over 20 years, Josh Jashinski has helped teenagers and young adults navigate the complexities of growing up. He specializes in clients with addiction, behavioral, mental-health, and executive-function difficulties and provides individual attention and individualized solutions.
Josh helps high-school and college students excel academically, as well. He’s guided students through their college application processes and taught them how to write winning personal statements that have gotten them into UPenn, Harvard, NYU, UCLA, USC Film School, Harvard Law, NYU Law, Tisch, and many other elite undergraduate and graduate programs.
Now, more than ever, a clear and unique writing style is vital, and that extends well beyond the classroom. Whether you’re writing a wedding speech, crafting an important thank-you note, or explaining to your boss why you deserve a promotion, you want your audience to take notice. ChatGPT actually does a pretty decent job…if you’re a soulless automaton working in HR at an advertising firm and are satisfied with crafting a forgettable, anodyne memo that indemnifies your corporate overlords for their abysmal maltreatment of employees. But if you care about being heard, Josh can make your writing stand out.
Josh also found that the students who struggled the most academically demanded greater focus on mentorship and coaching than on specific academic instruction. Young adults are often open with mentors and coaches in ways that they are not in more formal settings with therapists, as mentors are free to use self-disclosure to build relationships with clients. As a result, Josh has transitioned from a focus on academics to more holistic coaching services. No toxic positivity, just goal-focused, incremental, actionable improvement. A meaningful connection can tap into intrinsic motivation that results in lifelong positive changes and not short-term Band-Aids.
Current services include: mentorship, life/relationship coaching, executive function guidance, and personal statement/writing instruction.
Josh has worked with many high-profile clients and prizes discretion, confidentiality, and privacy. He is based in Los Angeles and works with clients both in-person and remotely.
Josh graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Psychology.
